The 1001 New Worshiping Communities Movement

 

Vision: Igniting a movement for new expressions of church.

Biblical Guidance: "New branches bearing fruit from old roots." - Isaiah 11

 

What do we do?

  • Develop training and resources as well as train leaders who are starting new ministries

  • Recruit, equip, and assess potential new ministry leaders

  • Connect innovative churches and leaders with proven practices, coaches, resources, and field education opportunities

  • Provide "Thought Leadership" for seminaries and denominational entities

  • Coach and consult with new worshiping communities, presbyteries, and other partners


Who is it for?

FOR Leaders

  • Assess competencies for missional church planting

  • Discern a call to church-planting through a 1001 internship

  • Develop leadership skills and train in proven practices for new church

  • Coach and equip leaders in experiments/field education/internships/new projects

  • Starting Strong intensive coaching in early stages of new church (the first 3 months)

  • Connect with other innovative new church leaders to create a support/resource community

 

FOR Congregations

  • Get resources and tools for identifiying or equipping missional leaders in your midst

  • Equip your church to start or support a new ministry

  • Discern how to birth or partner with new worshiping communities

  • Mentor a 1001 intern and see a new worshiping community take shape

  • Host a Discerning Missional Leadership Assessment for current or potential nwc leaders

  • Cast vision for practical ways of organizing new worshiping communities in your midst

  • Develop a church-planting track or emphasis to resource the next generation of leaders

  • Strategize with us about the best way to ignite a movement for new expressions of church
